Chess Board
Rhino Drawing
Design created using pieces of real life objects to create chess pieces. Pieces were then recreated in Rhino and went under various effects to create interesting pieces from those objects
I first started by choosing the pieces which was small mouse wheel, powerbank charger, fidget spinner, and an android wall charger.
I then went on to recreate these pieces using Rhino with very minimal detail because the objective of this project was not to create highly detailed models of these objects.
After having the models of the objects I then went to use various effects on Rhino with the 3D models such as revolve, split, chamfer, and explode. I gathered those pieces and then used them to create the chess pieces.
Here are the pieces compile into chess pieces and the orthographic views of them. From left to right is the pawn, rook, bishop, knight, queen, and king.
There are two color variations for the pieces representing the two sides. This picture below is done to show some of the strong details of each piece.
This isometric drawing below is meant to show the dimensions of the chess board and the height of each chess piece.
Final Render of the project showing different perspectives of what the chess board and pieces would look like in the real world.
